Like many people who lose weight, maintaining the loss feels tough at times for actor Rebel Wilson.

“As an emotional eater, I’m probably never going to be cured of that,” Wilson, 45, tells TODAY.com. “I have to manage it.”

After losing more than 80 pounds in 2020, by committing to “the old-fashioned way of working out, eating a high protein diet,” Wilson wondered how she could maintain it. With work and parenting her almost 3-year-old daughter, Royce, exercising for more than two hours a day felt unreasonable. Her doctor mentioned GLP-1 medications, and she sometimes takes one to help her.

“I had a very good response to it because it meant I could maintain my weight or roughly thereabouts,” she says. “Obviously, everybody kind of fluctuates a little bit.”
