GLENDALE, Ariz. — A 28-year-old is dead after he was shot by Glendale police officers early Thursday morning.
Around 12:30 a.m, officers received a call for service from a crisis hotline that had been talking to the 28-year-old. Officers responded to 91st and Glendale avenues after the hotline contacted police and asked for a response.
Officers were informed the man was standing in the driveway of a residence.
Glendale police said the man was allegedly armed with a firearm and discharged the weapon multiple times.
When two officers approached the man, he pointed the gun at them, resulting in the officers firing their weapons.
The man, identified as Adrian Green, died at the scene. No officers were injured.
The Buckeye Police Department will be investigating the incident.
