MESA, Ariz. — The suspect accused of entering an East Valley apartment and attacking a family with a knife was issued a $2-million, cash-only bond during his initial appearance before a judge on Thursday.

Lowell Dorn, 22, was issued the high cash bond shortly after his arrest for a triple stabbing in Mesa that left a mother and her two daughters injured Wednesday morning.

Court records show the suspect allegedly entered the family's apartment on Dobson Road at about 4:30 a.m. and entered a bedroom were two teenage girls were sleeping.

The suspect allegedly climbed on top of one of the girls and began stabbing her multiple times. As the 16-year-old began screaming, the other girl and their mother attempted to intervene, records show.
