STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Mayor Eric Adams announced Thursday that the city would be sending out rebate checks to some homeowners who purchased official city trash bins.

In the coming weeks, the checks, valued at $59.30, will go to one- and two-family homeowners who receive the Basic or Enhanced School Tax Relief (STAR or E-STAR) credit or exemption.
