This is the disgusting state of a Birmingham garden where a dog was tied-up without a bed or adequate food.

Shadow, a Presa Canario type dog, was found inside the kennel within a faeces-strewn run in the back garden of a home in Kingsland Road, Kingstanding. He was underweight, lame and the tip of his tail was almost detached.

On another visit to the home of pet owner Debbie Ayub, RSPCA officers found a pug named Roxy, who had a significant vaginal prolapse, a sore back end, fur loss on her back legs and long, curled nails.

Now, after failing to protect her two dogs from pain or suffering, Ayub, 45, has been banned from keeping animals for ten years.
