ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Former UGA star Jalen Carter testified about his role in the 2023 crash that killed UGA player Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy, according to court documents.

Victoria Bowles, who was in LeCroy’s car during the crash, is suing Carter for “uncapped punitive damages.”

On Jan. 15, 2023, Bowles was among four people from the football program in a Ford Expedition owned by the University of Georgia Athletic Association. According to warrants, LeCroy was drunkenly street racing Carter at around 2:45 a.m.

LeCroy lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and hit two power poles and several trees, according to police. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died. Willock died at the scene.
