PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - This year alone in Pueblo there have been 1,418 reports of vandalism.
That number is up from 1,288 reports of vandalism in 2024.
Now Pueblo city councilwoman, Sarah Martinez, as well as Pueblo Police Chief Chris Noeller are proposing a way to help out businesses hit by vandalism.
In Monday night’s city council work session, Martinez and Noeller proposed a $50,000 grant program.
The money from this grant would go towards 50 small businesses in the city who may be impacted by vandalism and it would cover up to $1,000 of their out of pocket expenses.
