A shop sign was stolen from a Cambridgeshire takeaway. The sign on the Mr Zeus takeaway in Orange Grove, Wisbech , is believed to have been stolen on Friday, September 12.

The shop staff were left “shocked” when they found out the sign had been stolen. A shop spokesperson said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened by what has happened.

“The sign has been an important part of the business. It’s really upsetting to see it taken in this way.”

The incident has been reported to Cambridgeshire Police. A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a shop sign was stolen between 10.45pm and 11.40pm on Friday, September 12.

“If anyone has information about this theft they can contact the police quoting reference 35/70479/25.”
