Former South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Connor Shaw reportedly collapsed while coaching his son's football team in Greeneville Wednesday (September 17) night, the State 's Jackson Castellano reports.

Shaw, 33, was reportedly hospitalized at the Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital intensive care unit in an unknown condition as of Thursday (September 18) morning, a source confirmed to Castellano. The former quarterback was reported to have fallen or passed out and taken away in an ambulance, according to various social media accounts.

Shaw played at South Carolina from 2010 to 2013 and is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in program history, holding the record for most wins by a Gamecocks quarterback and having been elected to the South Carolina Athletics
