A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the suspect wanted in the Saturday shooting death of 43-year-old Paulin Harusha of Toronto.

Meelad Tarin, 34, of Toronto, is wanted on the charge of first-degree murder, Toronto Police Det. Sgt Alan Bartlett told a Thursday press conference.

“To Meelad Tarin, I have a message for you,” said Bartlett. “Seek counsel and turn yourself in. If you know where Mr. Tarin is and are found to be harbouring or aiding him in anyway, be assured, we will investigate and lay charges as appropriate.”

Bartlett added that police believe Tarin has not left the jurisdiction.

Cops say around 11:55 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a call for a shooting in the Victoria Park Ave. and Sheppard Ave. E. area.
