A Texas man has been arrested on charges of harassing and making a terroristic threat against Zohran Mamdani, the New York City Democratic mayoral nominee who is considered the frontrunner in the November election.
Jeremy Fistel was arrested yesterday in Plano, Texas, by the NYPD's hate crimes task force, and brought back to the city, according to an NYPD official. He faces one count of making a terrorist threat and three counts of aggravated harassment.
Fistel pleaded not guilty to the charges in a court appearance this morning.
