HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - Two people were taken to the hospital after a car collided with a Hardin County school bus Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 12:30 p.m., the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an injury accident at the intersection of Patriot Parkway and Rineyville Big Springs Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the car ran a stop light on Patriot Parkway and hit the Hardin County school bus traveling on Rineyville Big Springs Road. No students were on board the bus, just the driver and bus monitor.
The driver of the car was flown to Louisville with injuries the HCSO described as serious, but non-life-threatening. The bus driver had minor injuries and was taken to Baptist Health Hardin. No other injuries were reported.
