Peter Woloshyn of Spruce Grove is $1 million richer after winning a lottery game, and he showed up all shook up to claim it, dressed head to toe as Elvis Presley.

Woloshyn said he phoned ahead to ask whether a costume was required for the prize claim interview.

“They said no, and that I just couldn’t wear a disguise,” he said with a smile. “So, I talked with my son and his girlfriend and got them to order me an Elvis costume to wear.”

When asked why he chose the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Woloshyn’s response was simple: “Why not?”

He discovered the win after scanning the ticket himself at a store, but asked the cashier to double-check.

“I thought maybe it was just $10,000,” he said. “I was pretty calm at the time, but I got nervous once I got home knowing I had to keep the ticket safe.”
