PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen was originally believed to have suffered a rib injury, but it turns out he is battling a tough, nagging oblique strain instead.

The issue did not prevent Queen from practice at all, he was a full participant on Wednesday and expects to be the rest of the week. However, Queen did have his abdominal area wrapped with ice before and after practice so it could heal. He is determined to play through it.

Queen missed a few pays in the second quarter against the Seahawks but returned and gutted it out for the rest of the game. He was initially listed as questionable to return.

Queen is a two-time Pro Bowler and the green dot of the Steelers’ defense. He made the Pro Bowl after joining the Steelers last year, and was a first-team
