The New England Patriots will wear their red throwback uniforms for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

The classic red uniforms featured a white helmet with the old-school ‘Pat the Patriot’ logo, which features the colonial soldier snapping the football.

These uniforms were worn from 1984 to 1992,, and this week, the Patriots will be honoring the 1985 AFC Championship team on the team’s 40th anniversary. The Patriots will wear these uniforms twice this season, including against the New York Jets in Week 13.

The navy and silver layout of the Patriots’ logo that has become commonplace now started in 1993, and they officially switched to the navy blue layout starting in 2000.
