TYLER, Texas — A man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for shooting another person's leg at a Tyler apartment complex in April this year.

Jourdan King, 23, pleaded guilty to engaging in criminal activity Thursday in connection with the April 23 shooting at the apartments, located at 3220 Walton Rd.

King was then sentenced to 12 years, according to online criminal records.

Back in April, King and Oguist Williams were both arrested for the shooting after the vehicle involved was found following a short police chase. Williams, the driver, ran out of the car into a wooded area. The gun was also found.
