Wetaskiwin is again participating in the True Patriot Love Foundation's eight annual Canadian Walk for Veterans.

Held in cities across the nation, the local event will take place on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting at the Royal Canadian Legion Wetaskiwin Branch No. 86 (located at 5003 52 Ave.). Registration begins at 9 a.m.

The event raises funds for local and national charities that provide services for Canada's military, as well as True Patriot Love, Canada's national military foundation.

The foundation provides support to mental health, recovery and rehabilitation programs for veterans, service members and their families.
