EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- A person was saved by emergency response teams after being pinned under an MTA bus in Manhattan, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.

CitizenApp video of the scene shows the moments firefighters raised the bus and managed to free the person from underneath. The victim was wheeled away into an ambulance, though their condition was not immediately made known by officials.

Investigators are still working to understand what led up to the incident and how it happened.

The person was taken to a nearby hospital, but it was not immediately clear whether they would survive.
