CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The UnityPoint Abbe Center for Community Mental Health in Cedar Rapids is set to start serving patients in a new space.

The center is moving from the Northwest side to the MedQuarter downtown.

The new building is on the Southeast side at 615 Fifth Street.

It’s across the street from Benz Beverage Depot.

On Thursday, movers delivered the furniture, computers, and equipment to the new space.

The Abbe Center said the move will help make mental health care more accessible and will strengthen its connection to the community.

Its executive director said the move will also allow for all of the center’s staff to work in the same building.
