PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Are you and your family planning on going to the 90th annual Pensacola Interstate Fair? Before you go, know that there will be new safety measures in place.

According to fair organizers, they will be implementing a no-weapons policy and a clear bag policy for everyone — guests, staff, and vendors.

No weapons will be allowed on the fairgrounds this year, regardless of whether a person has a concealed carry permit. Additionally, all bags will be searched before they are allowed into the event, according to organizers.

"These updates are part of the Fair's ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone can focus on the fun, food, and festivities," read a fair news release.
