Swansea City manager Alan Sheehan has bemoaned the timing of their trip to Birmingham City after a dramatic Carabao Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.

The Swans dumped Ange Postecoglou’s Forest out of the cup with a stunning 3-2 victory sealed by two stoppage time goals, including a 97th minute winner from Cameron Burgess.

The match was played on Wednesday evening and although Sheehan made six changes to his starting XI from the weekend, Swansea were forced to put in a gruelling shift to beat Premier League Forest.

They now have a rapid turnaround before making the long trip to St Andrew’s for a game that has been moved forward to 12:30pm for broadcast on Sky Sports.
