A Flood Watch is in effect until 6 PM for the Ruidoso area and a section of the Sacramento Mountains. Heavy rainfall in thunderstorms could lead to burn scar flash flooding in that area. Tonight, showers and thunderstorms may linger in southern New Mexico, while calmer conditions with near seasonal lows are expected in the Alburquerque area.
