AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A Potter County grand jury decided there is enough evidence to charge a mother and daughter with a felony assault charge.
Trini Encinias, 50, and Britney Encinias, 32, are both indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.
In Texas, a second-degree felony can be punished by up to 20 years in prison.
Court documents for both women show that the attack took happened in April. The indictment states that they used baseball bats in striking the female victim.
Trini Encinias was arrested for the felony assault Aug. 15 and released on a $20,000 bond .
Britney Encinias has been in custody at Potter County Detention Center since her arrest on Aug. 5 following a hair-raising high-speed chase that ended with a bang in Dumas .
