Fairbanks has its fair share of history to tell — and it will be center stage as the Alaska Historical Society’s fall conference convenes in town next week.

The annual conference runs from Sept. 25 through Sept. 27 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Wood Center. It features two days’ worth of presentations, workshops, and keynote speeches such as on paleontology, people, the 50th anniversary of the trans-Alaska pipeline, gold mining, military, the 100th anniversary of the Nome serum run, and the 70th anniversary of the Alaska constitution.
