GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The Gainesville Police Department officials are partnering with a task force in the fight against child exploitation.

Officials with the Gainesville Police Department and the Protecting Children’s Innocence Task Force officially announced their partnership.

This is a national initiative that equips law enforcement with resources in the fight against child exploitation.

“I am happy to see this partnership there are the be the first nonprofit partner with the Gainesville Police Department to help combat child exploitation,” said Detective Sergeant Christopher King. “In the idea someone not law-enforcement to help step up and help her investigators and our communities is a big win for us.”
