BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Bentonville Library is bringing back Geek Con on Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. after a year on hiatus.
According to a press release, Geek Con is a mini-comic convention with a library edge and a focus on creators, creativity and engaging the community.
The release says highlights include: • A presentation on the process of making the Geek Con mascot Gadget, made in the BPL Makerspace • A panel of graphic artists living in Northwest Arkansas, featuring Chad Maupin, Zeke Peña, and Aaron Kuder • Magic show and workshop with George Reader • Live music with video game cover band The OneUp • Fantasy Book Trivia with NWA Book Fest • Pokémon Place featuring trade and play and a Pokémon character impersonation contest • Board Game Lounge with Me
