BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — For a second consecutive week, a member of Waterbury’s notorious 960 gang has been sentenced to life behind bars.
Twenty-nine-year-old Malik Bayon, also known as “Pop” and “Dirt,” received the sentence Thursday in Bridgeport federal court, according to a report from the Interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Bayon also received a five-year consecutive term of imprisonment to go along with his life sentence. Prosecutors say he committed murders, drug dealing and other violent acts.
