TYLER, Texas — Two men from Whitehouse were arrested Wednesday morning south of Tyler after trying to break into multiple vehicles.

The suspects have been identified as Ardie Lee Rabon and Trea Kaepone Scott, both 25.

"Deputies quickly arrived in the area and began speaking with witnesses who advised two suspects began lifting vehicle door handles in their driveway," a Smith County Sheriff's Office news release said. "The homeowner confronted both suspects who then fled the area on foot."

According to the news release, the suspects fled by foot on Bearwood Lane. Smith County deputies and Whitehouse PD responded by setting up a perimeter around the area.
