A man has been charged after two people were injured during a disturbance in Logan, Queensland.

Police were called to Haig St in Loganlea about 7.30pm on Thursday.

A 57-year-old man had allegedly threatened a 40-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman with a weapon, causing them injuries.

The pair were both taken to hospital.

The offender was charged with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit serious disease.

He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday.
