In 1875, William Martin left Delaware and traveled to Ohio in search of an opportunity to farm. He purchased 400 acres in Coshocton County, where he began his diversified farm. Shortly after arriving in Ohio, William sold the farm to his brother, David Martin. David was the only sibling in the Martin family to marry and have children, and his legacy remains on the farm today. That legacy, now carried on by Bill Daugherty and his son Kyle, is one of resilience and reinvention, proof that a farm with 150 years of history can still be a leader in adopting the newest technology.
