SHELTON, Neb. (KSNB) - Deputies say a Shelton man is facing several charges after refusing to leave a house he broke into Thursday.
Authorities were called around 11 a.m. about a trespasser at a house in the 500 block of F Street in Shelton. No one was else home at the time, but when officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Giovanni Morales inside.
Deputies say Morales, who already had an active misdemeanor warrant, wouldn’t come out. Instead, he locked the doors and barricaded himself in a bedroom. Negotiators tried talking him out, but he stayed put.
With help from the homeowner, officers eventually got inside. Morales still resisted, and a police dog was used during the arrest. He was taken into custody after receiving dog bites.
Morales was arrested on suspicion of trespassing, res
