SPRINGFIELD — After a successful home opener for the football program last Saturday, the focus turns to how they will be able to keep the excitement rolling.
The Missouri State Bears football program is in one of its most exciting eras ever. Proof of that lies in the fact that the home opener for MO State's first ever FBS home game brought in 15,027 fans. It certainly helped that the opponent visiting Robert W. Plaster Stadium was nationally ranked at #17 just 10 days prior.
The Bears hung tough, leading 10-0 after one quarter, but would ultimately lose 28-10. The final score, however, was not the most important part. Missouri State Athletic Director Patrick Ransdell tells Ozarks First, there were plenty of other victories for the program as a whole.
