MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — An Ozark County woman has died after a crash on Thursday, Sept. 18.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 62-year-old Wasola woman has died after a single-vehicle crash around 9:55 a.m. on Missouri Route 76, five miles east of Anderson, Missouri, on Thursday.

MSHP states in the report that the woman's 2016 Ford F150 travelled off the roadway and struck a tree as she was traveling west.

The woman was pronounced deceased at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Next of kin have been notified.

The report indicates that the woman was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.

This is the 97th fatality for Troop D in 2025.
