After a dominant start to its season, the Rush-Henrietta football team is this week's Primetime 585 Spotlight Team.
The Royal Comets come off a Week 2 win against McQuaid, shutting out the Knights 29-0.
"I told the guys all week we've got to focus up, watch the film, make sure we do what we've got to do on lift, do what we've got to do on the field and it was going to take care of itself," first-year head coach Bruce Johnson said. "You see the scoreboard. We did what we had to do."
Junior quarterback Brendan Mangone completed 20 of 31 passing attempts, bringing in 237 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 34 yards on the ground.
"I've got to give it our defense, you know," Mangone said. "They gave us so many opportunities on offense, and once again, our O-line is amazing."
