ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The East House Corporation hosted its annual Hope and Recovery Event at the Riverside Convention Center, emphasizing support for individuals struggling with mental health and substance use disorders.

The event, which is East House's largest fundraiser, aims to gather donations to provide a brighter future for those in need. East House, a prominent behavioral health provider in the Greater Rochester area, offers housing programs and a wide range of support services to over 1,200 individuals annually.

"After the injury, I got a lot more introspective and I looked at my life and I thought what are the things that I can do to try and help other people. And this is one of them," said Joe Theismann, the keynote speaker and a 12-year NFL veteran.
