WYFF News 4’s Carol Clarke announced tonight that she will retire from WYFF 4. Clarke has been a trusted voice in local broadcasting in the market for more than 40 years.
“Carol is a brilliant journalist who has been dedicated to our community for four decades,” remarked WYFF 4 President and General Manager Blake Bridges. “She is a consummate professional. Whether she’s reporting breaking news on the anchor desk or out covering an important health report, Carol always brings a commitment to excellence to every story she tells.”
Earlier this year, Clarke announced she was scaling back her schedule and would only anchor WYFF News 4 at 6 p.m. to allow her more time to report and write stories. Her last day at WYFF 4 will be Friday, December 12.
