CHICAGO (WLS) -- New video was released of a South Sie shooting that hurt an off-duty Chicago police officer last month.

The shooting happened on August 3 just before 6:15 a.m. in the 4800-block of South Bishop Street.

The Civilian Office of Police Accountability said the officer was pulling into a garage when three men get out of a separate car.

The video shows as three men start shooting toward a garage in an alley.

Investigators say the officer fired back.

The officer was not shot but suffered a minor injury after being hit by broken glass.

The people who shot at the officer took off in a white-colored sedan.

CPD and the Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating.
