BRAINERD — The undefeated and Class 5A’s ninth-ranked Brainerd Warriors welcome the Sartell Sabres (1-2) for homecoming Friday, Sept. 19.
It’s the third home game in four games as Brainerd hits the halfway point of the season, looking for its fourth straight win. Last week, the Warriors scored 42 straight points in a 49-14 win over Sauk Rapids.
“I think we are building confidence in ourselves,” Warriors’ head coach Jason Freed said. “We want to see improvement from Week One on and I think we are fixing some of the things that we didn’t do well early in the season. We have a lot of new faces in new places and I think the confidence is growing, especially when we win football games and get off to a good start.”
