STORM LAKE, Iowa (KCAU) — A new athletic performance center is open at Buena Vista University.

The university recently opened their 7,500 square foot facility as part of phase one of their Building Champions campaign. There are areas for strength training, conditioning, cross-training, and rehabilitation.

More than 1,000 square feet of turf is laid down. University officials said phase two is set to feature upgrades to the wrestling room and a renovated football locker room.
