KILLEEN, Texas — On Friday afternoons at the Killeen Senior Center, the rhythmic hum of sewing machines fills the air as the dedicated Perfectly Imperfect Quilters transform fabric scraps into quilts that travel far beyond Central Texas - from wounded warriors at Fort Hood to fire victims in Hawaii.
"The mission is to provide to our community quilts to comfort some of the affected people- wounded soldiers, mental health, health issues, tragedy- our quilts is something to comfort them, knowing that we made our quilts with love," said Teresa Del Rosario, who has been with the group for years.
