LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Eight years ago, Lubbock High senior Gunnar Hansen went to a swim meet to support one of his friends.
There he found his love for swimming and hasn’t looked back since.
“Swimming in general is a wonderful sport because it teaches you so many things about discipline and hard work,” Hansen said. “There’s so many days where you show up and you don’t want to do it, but it teaches you in order to reach your goals you have to be there every day and show up every day to get what you want.”
Just a few weeks ago, Gunnar found out that he will be representing the USA National Junior Team, where he will be competing in the 100-meter breaststroke.
