Stardust Racers remains closed on Thursday after a man was found unresponsive on the Epic Universe roller coaster and later died at the hospital.

Daniel Leavelle, an independent contractor who has built roller coasters for the last eight years, spoke to WESH 2 and provided insight on the testing of rides before they are opened to the public.

Leavelle works with Midway Mayhem and is currently building a ride in Colorado. He said roller coasters like Stardust Racers go through several safety measures starting from the beginning.
