Workplace psychologist Mimi Hull shared insights on the emotional impact of such a loss on fellow officers, emphasizing the importance of sharing feelings to cope with pain and anxiety.

Hull said, "What do you think his colleagues are going through right now. They are sad. They are fearful of their own lives. It could have been me. And you know, when you think of a police officer, they are in constant reminder of their own mortality. They are wearing body armor, they are carrying weapons."

Hull advised that officers and those in law enforcement should openly discuss their feelings to manage anxiety.
