PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Peoria’s Methodist College is celebrating 125 years of training future nurses and medical professionals.

Chancellor Kayla Banks said a lot has changed in the way the college offers educational training in the last 20 years. She said high-tech simulations are a key factor in instructing future healthcare leaders.

“As technology has advanced, we’re able to utilize virtual reality and 3D holographic simulations for learning anatomy and physiology,” she said. “We’re really working to create a high-fidelity setting where our students can have hands-on experience with pretend patients before real patients.”
