BELTON, Texas (KWTX) - Hundreds of people filled downtown Belton tonight to honor the life of Charlie Kirk.

It was a gathering of the masses where hundreds carried on a message that was silenced.

“Ultimately our goal tonight is to bring people to Jesus. That’s our goal because we believe that was Charlie’s number one goal,” says Reagan Keith, the president of Bell County Young Republicans.

Keith says it started as a passion project but became a movement overnight with the backing from Vintage and Crossroads Churches. More than 1,000 people expressed interest in showing up.

Some people, like Jowell Rolean, came here from out of town.
