A vociferous group of protesters gathered outside the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” studios this evening to decry ABC’s indefinite suspension of the late-night talk show following the comedian’s comments on the shooting death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
The demonstration got underway at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday outside the El Capitan Entertainment Center on Hollywood Boulevard, longtime home to the show whose future, at least for now, is in limbo.
Video shared on social media showed about 100 people standing on the sidewalk and occasionally on the street, many holding signs supporting Kimmel and blasting ABC and President Donald Trump, who many blame for the action. Some passing motorists can be heard honking their horns.
