FRASER – Getting early leads and holding them can go a long ways in winning a volleyball set. After all, few sports rival volleyball when it comes to momentum.

Keeping those leads can go along way into winning a match.

Marysville rode its early leads and momentum in the first two sets at Fraser Thursday and that led to the Vikings earning a 25-20, 25-14, 20-25, 25-13 Macomb Area Conference White Division victory in a showdown between the only two league unbeaten teams.

Now, make that one.

Marysville (11-4-1, 3-0) now has the inside lane on the route to the league title. The Vikings were dominant at times against youthful Fraser and played like a hungry team has eight seniors and wants to claim championships this season.
