JO DAVIESS Co. and LEE Co., Ill. (KWQC) - Some of our Illinois counties are getting tens of thousands of dollars to improve their natural resources.

The local grants will go to Jo Daviess County and Lee County worth a total of $100,000.

The Jo Daviess County Conservation Foundation said they plan to buy equipment and control invasive species.

Lee County said they plan to pair up with Ogle County to buy a tractor and control invasive species.

In total, the State of Illinois gave out almost a million dollars in these grants.
