PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office says human remains that are believed to be the body of murder suspect Travis Decker have been found.

The sheriff’s office says the remains were found in a remote wooded area south of Leavenworth, Wash.

Authorities are still working to confirm the identity of the remains, but say preliminary findings suggest that they belong to Decker.

Decker has been wanted since June 2 after his three daughters were found dead by a sheriff’s deputy at a Washington state campground.

This is a developing story.
