ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Imagine the city coming together to clean up Albuquerque. Imagine ABQ brings together the community every last Saturday of September. Groups can pick up supplies at certain fire stations around the city, such as buckets and gloves. Volunteers are encouraged to beautify the city, whether it's cleaning up a neighborhood, painting a mural, or revitalizing public spaces.

It's also a way to get the city looking good before it welcomes thousands of people for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. "This is what New Mexicans do, at least for one day, we put aside all kinds of differences, political differences, and we come together and unite to honor the history and culture of this place," said Lt. David Meyers, Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
